Oct 14: Whale Watching.

We drive for a couple of hours for a Whale Watching cruise with guaranteed sightings of the Southern Right ... And we weren't disappointed.  Other than the battery on our camera died - silly us! Keeping spare batteries in the suitcase in the hotel room is not an intelligent idea!

We drove back from there along yet another scenic coastal route ... This one was a mountainous National Park road etched into the mountainside.  As beautiful as it was, it didn't appeal as much as yesterday's drive.

The other things we DIDNT take photos of were the shanty towns lining the main roads. Tis amazing to think that just 50 km up the road there's a city living in the laps of luxury, being serviced by the people who live in them.  In fact the hotel manager said all her staff lived in a shanty but that only one of them had a tin shack with no toilet.

Back to our slice of luxury under Table Mountain we indulged in he ritual Sundowner in the spa.
